Notes on APA Style
A note on punctuation and spacing: prior to the advent of
computers, the standard was to place two spaces after periods (and
other ending punctuation) and one space after commas, colons, and
semicolons. It is now acceptable to use either one or two
spaces after periods.
A note on italicization and underlining: as of the 5th edition
italics is preferred over the use of underlining.
