The Juniata College librarians welcome you to Juniata's Information Literacy Tutorial. This tutorial was adapted from the library's previous IA slides and combined with the award-winning tutorial from the University of Texas. Throughout these modules you will encounter the acronym TILT (Texas Information Literacy Tutorial). Do not be alarmed; you are still in Pennsylvania. You will learn about Information Literacy in the following slides. The important thing to remember during all 5 library modules is that the information will not only "get you through IA," the coming months, or your college career, but is also essential for lifelong learning and success in the information age. While we may use examples throughout the tutorial that are designed to be amusing, the information in every single slide and popup window is extremely important! Read everything fully and be careful not to miss anything. It will not only help your IA grade, but it will also ensure that you learn information literacy theories that are a crucial part of the liberal arts experience. The library webpage provides a link to the tutorial that operates separately from Moodle, giving anyone access to the tutorial contents. You are encouraged to return to this tutorial as often as needed to review the information.
